About MicroWest Design Ltd.

MicroWest Design was incorporated in 1994. Originally the company designed small systems using microcontroller chips building simple telemetry equipment, digital signs and adapter boards. Shortly thereafter, we moved into electronics repair, computer sales and service, and office networking. In 1998, MicroWest started working with PLC controls in sawmills doing automation, programming and design for the forest industry. Since then, we have worked on a number of projects ranging from the controls for a new planer installation to a complete sorter HMI using RSView32. Today, we combine our experience and knowledge of the industry to give our customers the quality products and service they demand to help them compete more effectively in the global market.

Our Customers
MicroWest Design Ltd provides automated control solutions for many forest product companies in western Canada. Some of our customers include: Canadian Forest Products Ltd., WestFraser Sawmills Ltd., Weldwood Forest Products Company, Sinclair Group, Dollar Saver Lumber Ltd., and Carrier Lumber Ltd.
